Our Center
Mission Statement
We provide an empathetic support system to survivors of sexual assault and promote rape awareness and prevention education programs in the Baton Rouge community.
History
In 1975 the Baton Rouge Rape Crisis Center was established as a division of the 19th Judicial District Attorney's Office for the Parish of East Baton Rouge. Since it's inception our center has provided counseling and support to survivors of sexual assault in the Baton Rouge community. Our center offers crisis counseling on a 24-hour basis through our crisis hotline, hospital advocacy, and courtroom advocacy. In addition our center has an outstanding prevention education and outreach program.
