Our Services

All services of the Rape Crisis Center are free and confidential. 

24-Hour Hotline

The Rape Crisis Center's 24-hour crisis hotline is staffed by trained sexual assault counselors.  Callers can receive crisis intervention counseling, support, and referrals by calling 225.383.RAPE.

Individual Counseling

Sexual assault survivors are eligible for up to 10 free individual counseling sessions with a rape crisis counselor.  For an appointment call the office at 225.389.3456. 

Support Groups

Support groups for survivors of sexual assault are held on an as needed basis.  Please contact the office for information on support group availability and meeting dates.

Hospital Advocacy

Advocates are available on a 24-hour basis to provide support to sexual assault survivors during forensic medical exams. 

Courtroom Advocacy

Advocates are available to provide support to survivors during criminal justice proceedings.  

Outreach and Education

The Rape Crisis Center provides community outreach and education programs to increase awareness of sexual violence.
